Meet the Founders

Founder, Eureka

Dr. Ahmed Taha

Founder, Eureka

Dr. Ahmed Taha is an international education leader, academic consultant, and professional development specialist with more than 15 years of experience across international education systems, with extensive expertise in International Baccalaureate (IB) education.

He holds a PhD and Master's degree in Education from the University of South Wales, a Diploma in Educational Leadership and Management, and a Bachelor's degree in Education. His commitment to continuous professional learning has also led him to complete more than 120 diplomas, professional certifications, and specialized courses in education, leadership, teaching, learning, and professional development through renowned universities and educational organizations, including the University of Cambridge, University of Oxford, University College London (UCL), University of Southampton, McGraw Hill, New Horizons, ITTT, and others.

Mrs. Sofia Dourasse

Founder, Eureka

Mrs. Sofia Dourasse is an experienced international educator and senior school leader with over 17 years of teaching and leadership experience, including more than 10 years within the International Baccalaureate (IB) continuum. She brings strong expertise in programme implementation, evaluation readiness, and whole-school alignment, grounded in a deep commitment to international-mindedness and high-quality learning. Driven by a strong belief in collaboration and lifelong learning, Mrs. Dourasse’s educational leadership is characterized by a strong focus on collaboration, reflective practice, and evidence-informed decision-making.

Since 2015, Mrs. Dourasse has held multiple confirmed roles with the International Baccalaureate Organization across the Africa, Europe, Asia, and Middle East region, including IB Consultant, Programme Leader, Evaluation Leader, Workshop Leader, and Online Facilitator. She has led and contributed to over 40 IB assignments and professional engagements across more than 20 countries, encompassing authorization, verification, and evaluation visits, consultancy work with candidate schools, and IB professional development workshops. She works fluently in English, French, and Arabic, supporting diverse school communities in multilingual and international contexts.

Why Eureka?

Eureka was born from a simple observation: there is an incredible amount of educational expertise across the world, but it is not always accessible, connected, or translated into practical support for educators and schools.

The founders and consultants behind Eureka have worked across different international educational systems and in a wide range of educational contexts. Their experience spans classroom teaching, academic leadership, curriculum development, school improvement, international programmes, professional development, consultancy, and educational management.

Through years of working with educators and schools, they experienced first-hand the challenges educational professionals face not only in understanding international frameworks, but in turning those frameworks into effective practice within their own schools and communities.

Eureka was created to bring that experience together. Rather than offering generic training, Eureka aims to connect educators and organizations with practitioners who understand both the theory and the reality of education. The founders believe that professional development should be practical, relevant, inspiring, and directly connected to improved educational outcomes. That belief is at the heart of Eureka.
